What Nomora takes from Mapon
- Odometer, every day. All linked cars' mileage is read in one request each day. Sync Mileage on the vehicle reads it on demand.
- Mileage at handover. Fetch from Tracker at check-out and check-in fills the reading, and Nomora calculates distance driven, the allowance and any excess charge.
- Service reminders by distance. Kilometre or mile intervals use the synced odometer, with an email to your service recipients when a car enters its notice period.
- Route distance per rental. After a booking ends, its telemetry card shows the distance Mapon recorded for the rental period. Speed and fuel are not shown for Mapon.
How to connect Mapon
- In Mapon, create or copy an API key for your account.
- In Nomora, open Settings → Telematics and set the Telemetry Timezone.
- On the Mapon card, enter the key, enable the integration, click Test Connection, and save.
- Click Load Vehicles & Units.
- Review the suggested matches. High confidence means an exact plate match. Medium means a partial plate or exact name. Low means only part of the name matched.
- Select any genuinely new vehicles to import, then save the linking.
Treat low and medium matches as guesses. Two units called "Octavia" are not proof that either one is your Octavia.
Limits worth knowing
- No live map, no driving status in Nomora. Mapon's own portal has those.
- No remote lock or unlock. Only Wialon supports that in Nomora.
- No fuel or speed on the rental report for Mapon.
- The trip report appears after the booking ends.
- Kilometres or miles. Nomora converts to your organization's distance unit.
Why bother connecting it?
Two reasons. First, excess mileage charges stop depending on whoever read the dashboard. The reading comes from the tracker at check-out and check-in, and the charge follows from the booking's allowance. Second, services by kilometre stop slipping, because the odometer is current every morning instead of whenever someone remembers.
