Monet ERP for Car Rental: Invoices from Bookings, Tax from Monet

How to connect Monet ERP

1. Open Settings → Invoices → Monet ERP. Enter your Monet username and password. Leave API URL empty for the default service, or enter the URL supplied for your account.
2. Click Test Connection and check the connected company name.
3. Turn on Enable Monet invoice generation.
4. Select the Monet company, tax group, ledger account, currency and invoice series.
5. Save, then open a booking's invoice editor and search for its customer in Monet.

Things to know before you start

• Check the totals once. Monet calculates the tax. If an issued total differs from what you expected, the tax group in Monet is usually the reason.
• Paid status is not synced from Monet. Record payments on the booking in Nomora, or mark the invoice paid there.
• Corrections happen in Monet. Correct or cancel the invoice in Monet first. Deleting the record in Nomora leaves it in Monet.
• Pro forma invoices are issued by Nomora itself, not by Monet.
• One invoicing app at a time. Turn Monet off before you connect Xero.
• Long-term rentals. Monet can issue the automatic period invoices of open-ended rentals, and several rentals can go on one invoice per customer. Create the customer in Monet first and select it on the booking. Automatic period invoices are turned on per organization, so ask if you need them.
